Description:
1966 IS THE VERY FIRST YEAR OF THE LTD MODEL LINE. THIS MAKES THIS CAR A VERY RARE FIND, ESPECIALLY ONE IN THIS GOOD OF CONDITION.We have all of the original paperwork that came with the car, which is important to car collectors. This car has Antique plates on it from the state of Mississippi.
Overall, this car is in excellent condition. It drives and stops straight on a level road with no hands on the wheel.
We bought this car brand new in 1966 and it has been parked under our garage it's entire life, so there is very little rust anywhere.
It has the original 289-c.i. 2-barrel motor, automatic transmission (2 forward speeds) , rims and hubcaps. The tires are in good shape. I just replaced the timing chain cover, the water pump, thermostat, all hoses, and the fan in mid-March '08.
It has power steering, manual brakes, manual windows, and the air conditioning compressor turns, but it is low on freon. The blower fan also works, but it makes noise due to lack of use.

The body is in very good shape with only a few small defects. The paint job is a factory special order in the Thunderbird color 'Silver Mink'. It was repainted the same color a few years ago, and still looks very good. |
